Lauren Collier (b. 1992, London) is an artist based in Plymouth, UK.

Interested by the ways in which photography and the constructed image can alter our perception and relation to the materiality of place in an ever increasingly digital world, Collier’s multidisciplinary approach across new and traditional techniques combines hand-drawn imagery with photography, projection, moving image, monotype and woodcut, exploring the potentials of contemporary printmaking.

Sitting between the physically material and the simulated, the resulting works play with scale, surface and disruption and aim to provoke questions around fabrication and the authenticity of our consumption of media in the post-truth era.

Collier graduated from BA(Hons) Fine Art Printmaking at the University of Brighton in 2018, before going onto study MA Visual Arts Printmaking at Camberwell College of Arts, London 2018 – 2020.
